My first glimpse of Tromsø was as my flight landed at the airport. It was just after 9pm but the sun was shining brightly down on the almost-too-picturesque city of Tromsø. Tromsø sits on an island, nestled in the stunning fjord, surrounded by the magnificent snow-topped mountains. Even from this height, you could see the clarity of the water. Everything looked so fresh and clean. This view alone was to take my breath away – little did I know how often that was to happen in the next 5 days! - Karen Cunningham, Liverpool, Great Britain.

The Northern lights photo tour will allow you to visit several parts of the area as we try to give you the best possible experience according to the weather forecast and probability to actually see the lights. You will either go to Lyngen at the east side of Tromso, Malselv valley at the South east side, Kvaloya the great island west of Tomso, or the fjords out from the harbour in Tromso city
Northern lights in Saamii land
We are pleased to invite you to participate in this northern lights adventure. We pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the starting point for your northern lights adventure with the Saamii people. This activity illustrates the way Saamii people used to live while herding their reindeer herds.

Get the most out of your holiday! Join us in herding the great flock of reindeer from their pasture lands around Kautokeino to the coast. The reindeer is grassing on the plains in the winter, and on coastal islands in the summer.
