We are pleased to invite you to participate in this northern lights adventure. We pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the starting point for your northern lights adventure with the Saamii people. This activity illustrates the way Saamii people used to live while herding their reindeer herds.
Where: Takvatn 1 hr from Tromso. Duration 1 or 2 days. October through March Incl: transport, all meals, lassoing, scouting.
Transport from Tromso to idyllic Takvatn. Enjoy staying in a saamii tent while searching for the curtain of northern lights in the sky. Enjoy the activities of throwing the lasso on reindeer horns and building an outdoor fire. Listen to the stories and fairytales of the local tribesmen - the saamii people. Learn about their way of life from the past and the present. Relax in tranquil and peaceful surroundings while dinner is prepared. From January you can enjoy sitting in a sledge listening to the hoves of the reindeer and the sound of the sledge towards the snow.
Additional activities: fishing in the lake, ice fishing from January, the traditional saamii singing - the joik.
